I started having active labor contractions at 1:10pm in the afternoon right after I had left work for the day. I arrived at the hospital at 5pm on July 30th, I was admitted right away and 3 centimeters dialated. I got my epidural at 7:45pm, ten minutes later my water broke and I was 9 centimeters. I started pushing at 8:40pm and Max Joseph was born at 9:10pm 7 lbs 14 oz, 20.25 inches. We got discharged at 9pm on August 1st and we have now had our first two nights at home. Max has been an easy going baby. He eats great and is sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at night. Emma and Ryan are adjusting. Emma is being a great big sister, always helping and wanting to hold Max. Ryan just points at Max and says"Baby"

It sounds like the perfect labor! Those first few days together are so magical. I love seeing the kids holding the baby. They are so sweet. Congratulations! We are so happy for you.
